Alberta’s New Democrats raise more in Q3 than conservative parties combined
Yesterday, Elections Alberta released Third Quarter results representing the July to September fundraising totals for the province’s political parties. New Democrats topped the list by raising $425,437.90 in that three month period, more than the Wildrose ($330,666.45) and Progressive Conservatives ($48,209.16) combined.
“Albertans from all walks of life support Rachel Notley’s plan to create jobs and diversify our economy while protecting frontline services like health care and education from the deep cuts being proposed by the conservative parties,” said Roari Richardson, Provincial Secretary for Alberta’s New Democrats. “We will continue working hard to earn the support of Albertans every day.”
Richardson acknowledged the generous contributions of NDP members and supporters from every constituency across the province; in Medicine Hat, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Calgary and Edmonton; from smaller communities in central and rural Alberta and the north; from Albertans with big hearts and enormous pride in the focused work of 54 New Democrat MLAs.
The Fourth Quarter fundraising efforts are well underway and Alberta’s New Democrats look forward to a successful year end.
