GROUNDHOG DAY: KENNEY PLANS 4 YEARS OF HEALTH CARE CUTS
EDMONTON – This morning, Jason Kenney saw the shadow of Doug Ford’s government and is hoping for four years of health care cuts in Alberta.
Yesterday, the Doug Ford government was caught red-handed for their plan to abolish regional health agencies, close hospitals and contract out services to private corporations.
The Ford government has already cut drug coverage for children and youth and commissioned a report that recommended imposing health care premiums.
Here in Alberta, UCP MLA Dave Hanson has already admitted that the planned health care cuts “are going to hurt” Albertans.
We know that Jason Kenney admires Doug Ford, going as far to say “We’re finishing each other’s sentences. I love it.”
But Albertans want a full stop to any sentence on privatizing health care or health care cuts. And it would be smart for Kenney to learn how use the “backspace” key fast, this Groundhog Day.
